service and facility agreement

Under the terms of the Service and Facility Agreement, the dentist conducts their own independent practice from Dental Care Centres operated by Pacific Smiles Group. At these Dental Care Centres, Pacific Smiles Group provides all the services, facilities and marketing necessary for the Dentist to provide treatment to patients.

These services and facilities include:

  • Strategically located Dental Care Centres with high exposure, easy patient access and high quality design and fit-out

  • Well trained and highly motivated Dental Care Centre management teams

  • Front-office reception services and patient billing systems

  • Motivated and efficient clinical support staff

  • State-of-the-art Sterilisation and instrument tracking services

  • Comprehensively equipped and well maintained surgeries

  • Stock of required consumable items

  • Professional marketing and advertising

  • Access to Preferred Provider Agreements with Third Party Insurers

  • Community and school education programs

  • Continuing education and professional development programs for dentists

  • Access to specialist support

The nature of the arrangement does not constitute an employee / employer relationship nor does it contract the dentist to Pacific Smiles Group as a partner or associate. In fact, under the SFA arrangement, the dentist is the ‘principle’ and Pacific Smiles Group is the ‘contractor’ whom the dentist utilises for the provision of facilities and services which are provided in exchange for a monthly Service Fee.

The Dentist requires an ABN number and to be registered for GST. The Dentist must also maintain a professional indemnity insurance policy , public liability insurance and have current registration with the Dental Board in the relevant State.
